Olivia has a master of arts degree in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida, one of the most prestigious accredited institutions in the country. She holds a license in mental health counseling from the State of Florida Department of Health (MH8957).
Since graduating, she has continued to attend workshops and conferences to further expand her knowledge in areas such as grief, attachment disorders, sexual abuse and parenting.
Olivia has worked in community mental health for several years and has experience with individuals diagnosed with major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She is on the board for Urbino, Inc., a local non-profit dedicated to providing a therapeutic community for persons with mental illness (www.urbinoinc.org).
Additionally, Olivia has extensive experience working with grieving children and adults. She is currently on the board for The Collaborative for End of Life and Grief Education and is a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling (www.adec.org).
Olivia is also a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and the Central Florida Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Olivia has conducted presentations for grief and loss, stress management and canine-assisted therapy, and has volunteered for causes which benefit children, mental illness and breast cancer survivors.
